Try to solve this puzzle:
There are three switches downstairs. Each corresponds to one of the three light bulbs in the attic. You can turn the switches on and off and leave them in any position.
How would you identify which switch corresponds to which light bulb, if you are only allowed one trip upstairs?
Suppose the 3 switch is in off position. I change the position 2 of them and wait a few minutes and go back to his old position just one. Then I go to the attic and I see that:

2) Now, I touch the two bulbs that are off and I feel which of the two is hotter (incandescent lamps emit heat). The hot bulb corresponds to the switch that pass from on to off
3) The other bulb off (the coldest) corresponds to the switch that I didn't change your position
